Dancin Lukey’s Top 10 Wrestlemanias of all time!
Well it’s almost time for the most over-hyped Pay Per View of the year… Wrestlemania. Seeing as it’s almost upon us I thought I would share with you all my personal top 10 so here goes…

10. Wrestlemania 3

Why is this Wrestlemania in the top ten list you ask… well 7 words for you… Macho Man Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat!!! How good was that match if you haven’t seen it… do it!

Interesting WM3 fact:

Hulk Hogan on the day of the PPV was afraid that Andre the Giant would "shoot" in their match and beat him for real!

9. Wrestlemania 16

The Triangle ladder match with Edge and Christian vs Hardys vs The Duddleys is nothing short of SUPERB! Team that up with Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit vs Kurt Angle 3 way two falls match up and of course the Mick Foley vs Rock vs Big show vs Triple H main event for the world title and you have a winning PPV!

Interesting WM16 fact

Triple H became the first Heel to walk away from Wrestlemania the World Champion! Yes that’s right it took 16 years before a heel left Wrestlemania with the World title!!

8. Wrestlemania 6

Demolition defeated the Colossal connection and Hulk Hogan FINALLY jobbed clean! I have never watched this Wrestlemania again since I first saw it all those years ago… somehow I fooled myself into thinking the Hulk Hogan Ultimate warrior match was great… I don’t want to spoil that thought with reality!

Interesting WM6 fact:

Shortly after WM6 the Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig) legally had his last name changed to Warrior and also

Shane McMahon was on camera at Wrestlemania 6 as a referee named Shane Stevens!

7. Wrestlemania 13

Ok so the main event wasn’t the best… but the Bret Hart vs Stone Cold match more than makes up for it! They had the hard task of topping their Survivor Series 1996 match and they did just that! Stone Cold earned the respect of the world that night and earned his main event status through his own blood and sacrifice.

Interesting WM13 fact

After Wrestlemania 13 there was a Stone Cold Steve Austin Shirt sold EVERY 45 SECONDS around the world!!!

6. Wrestlemania 14

Triple H vs Owen Hart, Rock vs Ken Shamrock and Shawn Michaels vs Stone Cold… need I say any more! This was a legendary PPV because not only was it Shawn Michaels last official match but it was really the transformation from the WWF into the real attitude generation!

Interesting WM14 fact:

Owen Hart was originally scheduled to beat Triple H at WM14 but Triple H and HBK threatened to boycott the show unless the booking committee changed their minds and let triple H get the victory!

5. Wrestlemania 8

Two amazing matches made this Wrestlemania great! Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper for the IC title in an incredible match and Macho Man Randy Savage vs Ric Flair for the world title… very impressive matches!

Interesting WM8 fact:

Sid kicked out of Hulk Hogan’s leg drop when he wasn’t supposed too, Sid had been caught cheating on a drug test a few weeks earlier and was going to be suspended so figured he had nothing to lose!

4. Wrestlemania 2

I don’t care what you say I think that the cage match between Hulk Hogan and King Kong Bundy rocked, also an amazing Bulldogs match which saw the Bulldogs upset the tag champs Brutis Beefcake and Greg Valentine for the Tag titles… the finish of this match was very unique and has to be seen to be believed! I can remember staying up new years eve when I was 6 years old and watching Wrestlemania 2 on TV… good times!

Interesting WM2 Fact:

At Wrestlemania 2 Andre the Giant was announced at 7"4 when in fact he was only 6"10.

3. Wrestlemania 4

A few great matches on this card… the best of which was the amazing moment where Macho Man beat Ted Dibiase in the tournament final for the World Title, My copy of this tape snapped because I watched that match so much! Also a great Battle Royal where Bret Hart was the last man eliminated by Bad News Brown and following the match smashed the six foot trophy, very cool!

Interesting WM4 fact:

Hulk Hogan was paid 1.7 Million dollars for his 6-minute rematch with Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania 4… DAMN!

2. Wrestlemania 12

Well this one had the incredible match of Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart in a one hour Iron man bout… amazing match that saw Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart show why there are the best of the best! This match was great from go to woe and didn’t skip a beat!

Interesting WM12 fact:

Shawn Michaels spent 2 hours listening to Garth Brooks backstage at Wrestlemania to prepare for his World title match… Vince MacMahon spent 12 minutes knocking on Shawn’s locker room door before Shawn heard because the music was so loud!

1. Wrestlemania 10

Well this one had two of the greatest matches of all time! First up Bret vs Owen in a brother vs brother match… Just when you thought that this couldn’t be topped they surprise us with a Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon IC title Ladder match that is just INCREDIBLE! If you only ever see one Wrestlemania… do yourself a favour and see this one!

Interesting WM10 fact:

Lex Luger was booked to win the WWF World title from Yokozuna at Wrestlemania X, but the night beforehand he told his friends while at a bar, and when the story leaked thanks to Luger's big mouth Drunk friends he never got that belt… thank god!
