Dancin Lukey’s World Wrestling All Stars Hit and Miss List
Well the stage was set for possibly the best non ECW wrestling show to ever hit Perth… so did it live up to the hype? Hell yeah! Despite no shows from Rey Mysterio, Sid, Kronic, Eddie… etc. It was an amazing card! So without further ramblings here is Dancin Lukeys Hit and Miss list…

HITS:

ECW Referee Simon Cage – Simon did a great job and did ECW proud! Way to go Simon… even if Nova called you a dipsh*t… we still think you’re the man!

Nova vs A.J. Styles vs Jerry Lynn – This was just the most incredible match! I have seen all three competitors many times on video but seeing them live is truly awe inspiring. I can’t even to begin to describe the innovative fast paced action that took place… all I can say is this was a sure fire Hit from start to finish!

Winner – Jerry Lynn with the Cradle Piledriver.

Puppett vs Teo – The Hardcore midgets were just that! With highflying moves and weapons being pulled out left right and centre this match was unbelievable. I don’t know what it is about the midgets but every move they do looks brutal!

Winner – Teo

Jeff Jarrett vs Brian Christopher – This was an entertaining match. Brian Christopher much like his father knows how to get the audience in the palm of his hand. The two men had a great match pulling out all their signature moves much to the delight of the crowd. ECW Referee Simon took a hard right hand in this match that left him quite badly bruised… hopefully he is feeling better now!

Winner – with the help of Scott Steiner: Jeff Jarrett.

Sabu vs Devon Storm – Hardcore match… and was it ever! Some high spots included, A splash through the guard rail, Arabian face buster, Air Sabu… I could go on but I would here all day!

Winner – Sabu (although Devon Storm got a well deserved standing ovation… Perth loves this guy!)

Quebecer Pierre vs "The Funkster" Alan Funk – This match was never promised as a classic… at the end of the day we had a Hulk Hogan impersonator and a guy who was a wwf tag champ almost 10 years ago… however, These guys rocked! Pierre pulled out some very impressive top rope moves for a big man such as A top rope leg drop and even a senton bomb! As for The Funkster… well I don’t remember Hogan ever doing those awesome moves! The Funkster was Funking great!

Winner – The Funkster with the big Legdrop

Midajah vs ECW’s Own Holly (aka Channelle) so they did a little wrestling and then the hardcore midgets returned and stripped them both… didn’t get a match but hey I wasn’t complaining!

Winner – Every male in the crowd

Nathan Jones vs Big Poppa Pump – all I can say is wow… these are two of the biggest guys in the world! If that wasn’t big enough both men could move and put on one of the best matches of the night, In the end Steiner cheated for the win… they proclaimed him the new champ, Until the hardcore midgets came down and pointed out he has cheated. They restarted the match and Nathan Jones retained the title… just in time to lose it at the ppv on the weekend.

Winner – With a massive Chokeslam Nathan Jones

ECW’s Psychofett dancing with Grandmaster Sexy in the ring after the main event, this was quite possibly the greatest thing to ever happen in Perth wrestling.

MISSES :

Stevie Ray and Disco Inferno vs The Cat Earnest Miller and Buff Bagwell – This match stunk… Disco is usually a great wrestler but was having an off day. The Cat was fantastic! Funny as hell and came out with some awesome martial arts moves! Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to save this match from the heat killer than is Buff Bagwell… Hopefully Borash will have noticed the silent reaction to Buff and won’t bring him back!

Winner – The Cat and Buff with a double underarm hook ddt

Total Grade – A-

All in all a great show. Despite two kids getting in a punch up during the Sabu/Crowbar match the audience was electric and I hope to see most of them at Evolution next month. Until then thanks WWA for a great entertaining show… you rock!

I’m Dancin Lukey and that’s all I’ve got to say about that!
