Earlier this week I had a discussion with referee Brett Corvus about his behaviour at Re-Awakening during the Justin Sane - Brad West match that he officiated. As most of you know, Brett decided to let his personal problems with Justin get in the way and he initiated a fast count against him, thus enabling Brad West to win the match via pinfall.

What happened after this was mostly physical violence displayed by Justin Sane towards referee Brett Corvus, and in retaliation, Brett fought back. This is unacceptable for a referee to do, seeing as although it was in self defence, Brett sparked the fued.

I have noticed for a long time that these two have had a personal hate for eachother, however I did not believe that it would ever come to this, and now it has.

I have hereby put referee Brett Corvus on a probationary warning period. If he ever steps out of line in an unprofessional manner in the ring again, he will be suspended from refereeing for ECW.

Although we are contracted to ECW, I am still his boss at the Referee Association, so therefore his contract is controlled by myself, Simon Cage.

I hope that this warning will halt any further problems that Brett causes in the ring. He has appeared remorseful of his actions and will attempt to bring a more professional approach to his work.
