The show opened with the ECW chairman, Azazal tearing into the crowd for abusing him on the ECW messageboard. He attempted to hold the show hostage by staging an in ring sit down strike. After a while, Dancin’ Lukey and Slick Rick emerged to get the show started but Azazal’s threats of physical violence soon put a stop to that. Eventually Lukey could take no more and asked Azazal to start the show. Azazal was about to lay a beating on Lukey when Davis Storm emerged.

Storm thanked the crowd for showing up for what could be his last match. He then said that everyone was sick of seeing Azazal sitting down and asked for Mixer to come out to start the first match.

Azazal vs Mixer

Azazal had control for a lot of this match. He used his size and power advantage to maintain dominance over Mixer. Mixer made some short comebacks but Azazal would quickly re-assert his dominance. During one such comeback, Mikey and Xeriyous Blade came down to ringside to assist The Fallen Angel but he told them to leave. He obviously believed that he did not need their help to beat Mixer.

When Mixer missed a moonsault it looked like the ECW chairman was in total control. But Davis Storm returned to distract Azazal. Mixer took advantage of the situation by pouncing with a top rope dropkick and a Mixing It Up for a most unlikely victory. Blade and Mikey came back to the ring and Azazal asked for a hand up. Blade then reminded him that Azazal said that he did not need their help and he and Mikey left without Azazal.
