Evil Intentions - Margaret Cockman Pavilion, Wanneroo Showgrounds, Ariti Ave, Wanneroo - April 12th 2003

Mikey vs Brad West (Chair on a pole Match)

This match was one of the most hotly anticipated matches on the Evil Intentions card. This is a match that featured one of ECW’s finest facing off against the Uprising’s number one wrestler.

Many believed that Brad may not be able to hang with Mikey in a one on one match. The two had met previously in a tag match but it would be a totally different environment this time.

But they could not have been any more wrong. Brad showed how much he had improved by constantly foiling Mikey’s offensive moves and countering with moves of his own. Mikey seemed to have trouble adjusting early on but before too long he was able to make his mark on the match. Both men hit sensational move after sensational move as they attempted to take each other out so that they could reach the chair.

Mikey had a great opportunity to reach the chair but decided to attempt a top rope moonsault and paid the price when Brad moved out of the way. The referee found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and was crushed between Mikey and West. A Final Sunset (sunset bomb) laid Brad down long enough for Mikey to grab the chair but his attempted chair shot turned into a sit out rock bottom on the chair.

While Brad grabbed the chair, Mikey snuck out of the ring and grabbed his chair with his hit list on it. After ducking a Brad chair shot, Mikey plastered West with a positively evil chair shot to win the match and complete his hit list.
