Davis Storm vs Damien Kross

Both men were out to win here. Damien knew that a win would guarantee him a place among ECW’s elite. Storm knew that he was in a must win situation. His long time friend, Xeriyous Blade, accompanied Storm to the ring. Kross was alone but focused as he always is.

Storm came out firing and was in total control for the first few minutes. His intensity was way up, but Kross inevitably made an impression and hit back with a huge SOS. Storm landed a somersault tope’ to the floor but upon reentry to the ring, Damien swung the tide of the match. He whipped Storm into the corner post and started to work on Davis’ weakened back.

Kross opened up with backbreakers and powerbombs in an attempt to set Storm up for a sharpshooter. After a Double Kross and a spinebuster he managed to get the submission hold on. Eventually, Storm made it to the ropes and this brought Azazal out to the ring. He handed Kross a chair and told him to strike Davis with it. Instead, Damien nailed Azazal with Xeriyous Blade showing his approval by revealing that he was wearing a StormTrooper shirt.

Damien hit a huge Krossfire for a nearfall. Davis had a huge comeback that culminated with an Eye of the Storm, that Kross kicked out of. Storm was shocked but he got to his feet and attempted a Yakuza Kick. He didn’t connect and was met with another Krosfire for another close call. Finally, Storm hit a Yakuza Kick and Eye of the Storm back to back for the win.

As Damien left the ring, Storm invited him back and announced to the fans that Kross had just wrestled his final match for ECW. Almost all of the wrestlers emerged from the back to congratulate Kross and wish him well. The fans responded with a standing ovation that lasted for 2 minutes as he left the ring through a guard of honour formed by his fellow wrestlers.
