After the intermission Mikey joined Lukey at the commentary desk for the next match, Jimmy Payne versus Justin Sane to decide the number one contender to the ECW Title. Many expected Jimmy to roll over his opponent but Justin showed the kind of skills that go with being the man with the longest winning streak in ECW history. The two used chain wrestling to try and wrest the advantage from each other. Sane constantly used sneaky tactics to stay in the match. A suplex and gord buster combo only garnered him a two count. Payne fought back with dynamic moves such as a side slam and a pump handle backbreaker. The end came when Sane went for a crucifix that Jimmy reversed into a Payne Killer. However, before he could complete the move Sane tapped out so that he wouldn’t have to take the move. After the bell though, Payne drilled Sane with the move anyway. He then took the opportunity to challenge Mikey to a match at Retribution. Mikey accepted but only on the condition that it be a Last Man Standing Match.
