Brock Freeman vs Devlin Reeves

ECW’s newest rookie versus the 2002 Rookie of the Year. Reeves strutted to the ring, while his opponent exploded into the ring with the fans solidly behind him.

This match started slowly with Devlin trying to show up Brock on the mat. However, Freeman seemed to remain one step ahead of the rookie. Devlin’s penchant for posing and parading around did not help as he found himself on the end of a stiff martial arts kick.

Strangely it was Reeves who made the first real impact with a sidewalk slam and a legdrop for the first two count of the match. All of the posing seemed to fire up Freeman even more than usual and he reasserted himself with a top rope jumping kick to the chest and a tornado northern lights suplex. Brock relied on his kick and submission based offense to remain in control until his adversary landed a reverse DDT and sky high in succession. He then pulled a pair of underwear, which he claimed were that of a young lady he had encountered, and threw them into the crowd. That distraction allowed Freeman all the time he needed to recover and hit the Dead Star Driver (Styles Clash) for the 1,2,3.
