The next match was the second semi final of the Invitational tournament. It featured the newly crowned ‘Rookie of the Year’ Brock Freeman against the leader of the Uprising, Xeriyous Blade. Freeman dominated early on with a handspring elbow and a back suplex. Blade quickly fought back by crotching Freeman on the tope rope. A Russian leg sweep got Blade a two count as he continued to work over Brock. An STF had Blade in control but that quickly turned around and Brock picked up Blade for a Spiccolli Driver. However, before he could execute the move, The Uprising hit the ring and the referee disqualified Blade. Freeman would not accept the victory and ordered Xeriyous to reenter the ring and finish the fight like a man. Blade complied and the battle recommenced. An axe kick and double arm DDT had Blade in firm control but Freeman would not quit and hit the Dead Star Driver for the 1-2-3.
