Re-Awakening - Wanneroo Civic Centre - November 2nd 2002

The next match was for the chairmanship of ECW. A huge match in the context of ECW, with huge repercussions. Lukey explained what the stipulations of the match were, but before he could finish Azazal took the mic from him. He told the Vagrant that ECW and its chairman, made him sick and he then spat in his face. Vagrant tore into The Fallen Angel from the opening bell. Azazal tried to have a breather on the floor but Vagrant hit a plancha onto him and Blade. When the match returned to the ring Azazal took control with various submission holds. Vagrant returned fire by bringing the chairs into play and dropkicking a chair into Azazal’s face. Control continued to flow back and forth with Vagrant tasting the chair this time, compliments of a Russian leg sweep. Blade finally interjected himself into the match by interrupting a sure 3 count by pulling Brett Corvus from the ring. This brought Brad West from the back to ensure that Blade could no longer interfere in the match. A Kryptonite Krunch was not enough to put Azazal away, just as the Fallen Angel failed to hold The Vagrant down also. A 2nd Kryptonite Krunch onto a chair brought Mikey from the back. He threw Brad into the ring post before superkicking a chair into the Vagrant’s face. Shiggins tried the save but was met by an incredibly harsh chairshot from Mikey. After a few quick reversals, Azazal hit a Fallen Angel on a stack on chairs for a controversial win. The Uprising held Nothica, Mixer, Brad and Shiggins at bay and Xeriyous Blade caved in the Vagrant’s jaw with a brutal chairshot. Azazal tried another but Davis Storm entered the ring and put himself between The Vagrant and Azazal. Storm told Blade that they got what they had come for and to leave The Vagrant alone. Azazal tried to hit Storm with the chair as he left but was stopped by Blade.
