The finals of the ECW Invitational were then held with F.N. Carnage facing off against Brock Freeman. The match started off at a brisk pace with both men unable to wrest the advantage from the other. The match took its first significant turn when Freeman hit a moonsault to the outside. A ferris wheel suplex from Carnage turned the tide again. A bareback and a ball breaker only got Carnage a 2 count. Freeman reached into his hybrid submissions background to get back into the match. A cattle mutilation submission failed to get the job done but a standing figure four had Carnage tapping out. Unfortunately the referee was distracted by Slick Rick and did not see this take place. When Simon Cage was knocked down by an errant Freeman kick, Rick took advantage again by cutting Brock down with a chairshot. But , the Rookie of the Year, only stayed down for a two. Carnage only got a two for his ‘Poetic Justice’ as well. Freeman had another short comeback but powder to the face from Slick Rick and a Carnage screwdriver was all she wrote.
