| As the leadup to Redemption intensifies, some of
Explosive Coastal Wrestling's finest took a break from their hectic schedule to spend time
with visiting American Jiu-Jitsu champion Brock Freeman. The usual Sunday ringwork came to
a hault as Freeman showed popular ECW figures F.N. Carnage and Awakening Tournament winner
Jimmy Payne, the finer points of the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. F.N. Carnage said of Freeman, "He's a
talented guy... I really admire someone who always has time to pass on what they know to
others..." As Carnage and Payne matwrestled, Freeman watched eagerly, giving his
advice to Carnage on how to sitch a headlock, and the training soon degenerated in a shoot
fight, a discipline Freeman knows only too well.
In his home state of California,
Freeman dominated junior Jiu-Jitsu ranks with his unique blend of submission and raw
power. His presence at training was later welcomed by the ECW's own People's Tramp, who
had stopped by for a short workout. "I really liked his shoes... oh, and his
wrestling was alright too..." commented the Vagrant to our ECW cameras.
Brock Freeman will be Explosive
Coastal Wrestling's special guest at their next spectacular Redemption, on January 27th
2002. |
