Advice from Jerry

It's been a good day!
Jeff Jarrett: Was a really cool guy. Had an awesome oppurtunity to take him, Jeremy Borash and the Disco Inferno to a local Perth beach and just hang out and chat to him. Interesting to hear his thoughts on the current WWF product, aswell as his plans for wrestling. A nice guy who, as big a
star as he is, didn't act like a jerk.

Disco Inferno: Disco was as obnoxious and loud as he is on the WWA shows. I could've sworn he was high as I shared a car ride with him. His thoughts on Jeff Jarrett being a hick was funny, but otherwise, Disco had an ego and really came across as arrogant, when he really had no reason to be.

Stevie Ray: This dude is massive, much much bigger than you assume. He didn't say much, and seemed to stay away from the crowd. Backstage at WWA, he did not even watch the show, as he knocked back a few beers and pizza slices.

The Cat: Once again, another guy I did not see much of. The first wrestler to shake my hand actually, which meant a lot, but other than that, a pretty quiet guy.

Sabu: This man is a very very scary individual. Whatever you have heard about Sabu is true. He is cold, he is a loner and he doesn't seem to like fans at all. I managed to eek out a photo and autograph from him, but other than that, he just blew past us everytime I went to see him.

Jeremy Borash: Jeremy was pretty cool, and came across very professionally. Business wise, I think he would be very competent and seemed to be genuine when you talked to him. A good guy to share a car ride with aswell.

'Grandmaster' Brian Christopher: I wouldn't say utter jerk but came very close. This dude had a massive black eye and didn't really want to talk to anyone other than his girlfriend. It's no wonder the other WWA wrestlers called him a bit of a 'wanker'.

The Funkster: An awesome guy... definitely one of my favourites on the tour. I really appreciated the time I spent with the Funkster. He didn't have an ego and was just a fun guy to be around. I sat and talked to him for atleast twenty minutes one morning, and he was just a great person, in
and outside of the ring. On a side note, he mentioned ECW in his Hogan rant on the WWA show which meant alot to me.

Teo and Puppet: I found Teo to be another one of the nicest guys on tour. He never minded signing or taking photos and always had a smile for me. It meant alot aswell when he stopped what he was doing after the WWA show, walked all the way over the carpark and slapped my hand. That was cool. Puppet was the same, a great guy who seemed to appreciate the fans.

Nathan Jones: The first thing I said to him when I met him was "you're huge!". Was a cool guy who once again seemed to appreciate his fans. The only WWA wrestler to sign for the many fans outside the Entertainment Centre after the show, which was typical of the nice guy he is.

Devon Storm: A good guy who didn't mind taking pics and signing shirts. He appreciated any compliments you had for him, and Perth audiences just seem to love the effort he puts in. He told me his favourite match of the last WWA aussie tour was in Perth, which was good to hear.

Quebecer Pierre: This guy was rather quiet, and didn't talk the clearest english, but seemed pretty mellow. Pretty good to shake the hand of a former WWF Tag Champ.

A.J. Styles: This guy is destined for future stardom. I had a chance to chat to him briefly and get his advice on ECW, which was great. I asked him if he would do the shooting styles press to the outside in his match at WWA but he said his knees were pretty banged up. When he did it, I felt kinda cool. A really nice guy who will one day make it huge.

Buff Bagwell: I did not see much of Buff at all, until I went backstage after the event and he shared his thoughts with me on the show. He seemed like a decent guy but I didn't spend very long with him at all.

Jerry Lynn: Perhaps my favourite wrestler on the tour inside the ring, and upon meeting him, definitely my favourite outside the ring. He did not mind signing my many pics and shirts, and also posed for some cool photos. I had a chance to talk to him about my favourite all time match, at Hardcore Heaven 2000 where he wrestled RVD. Was great to meet him and tell him how much I thought of him. I even had the chance to show him around Perth, however, he was called away by the tour owner. Jerry Lynn, an awesome wrestler and an awesome guy.

Scott Steiner:A genuine dick. Steiner was the very first wrestler I met and I thought he might have an attitude but he was not nice at all. He always seemed like a jerk, even when you paid him a compliment. Besides his personality, a very very big man. But a very very big tool.

Nova: This guy was on par with Jerry Lynn. His comments on ASW wrestler and ECW hater Chucky were priceless, as was his advice to me about wrestling in Perth. Nova didn't mind signing or taking pictures and was a tremendous guy to be around. The quality that he and Jerry shared was that they had time for the fans, something that most of the other WWA didn't have and that is
why I liked them the best.

Top 5 Best Moments of WWA:

5: Meeting Sabu: Despite the impression he left on us, Sabu is still one of my favourite wrestlers in the world. Meeting him, getting his signature and a picture of me standing next to him is up there in my favourite memories of all time.

4: The Funkster: Sitting down and chatting to him was great... and his thoughts on the business was cool. But when he mentioned ECW in his Hogan speech before his match was very cool. "...and to all the little Funkermaniacs in ECW...."

3: Talking to Nova and getting his advice on Explosive Coastal Wrestling.. Nova was a great guy and to hear one of the future stars of this business talk about the promotion is work for was something awesome for me. I have his message penned on an ECW shirt... "Work hard.. Respect everyone and shoot for the stars!"

2: The car ride with Jarrett, Borash and the Disco Inferno. It was an amazing turn of events when Jeff Jarrett asked for a lift to the beach. It was so surreal and an incredible thing to experience. Hear was I guy I had watched and admired on television, talking about wrestling to me in a car. Incredible. Disco Inferno was high off his tits, but other than that, a surreal experience.

1: Playing in the WWA ring: I managed to scam backstage passes before the WWA show and bolted down to the ringside area where a roadie preceeded to let me play around in the WWA's ring. It was an old WCW ring which was great, and just bumping, running the ropes and practising the Van Terminator in a ring that has had some much talent that I admire and respect work in it, was something special.

One day...
