ECW News & Romours
Forecast: An Unpredictable Storm
"I didn't want to make this public but I see no other way of ensuring that people know that no matter what happens.........it isn't my fault.

This message is for the Uprising, ECW and Jimmy Payne.

I have been made an offer by The Uprising. I have not made a decision one way or the other. Mostly because I am concentrating on Re-Awakening.

So the first message is to The Uprising. At Re-Awakening, STAY OUT OF MY BUSINESS!! This match has nothing to do with you and I'm sure you have more pressing issues on the day.

To ECW, I say watch your backs. You have treated others with greater disrespect than me. There may be more who might consider joining the Uprising. Not once have ECW officials tried to talk to me about the Uprising situation. Why is that?? Aren't I the ECW champion?? Wouldn't you prefer me to be on your side in this war?? Oh well....Only time will tell.

To Jimmy Payne, I say this. I challenged you to a one on one match to determine who is THE MAN in ECW. I'm not backing down from that challenge. I want to look in the mirror and say that I was the better man and that I deserve to be ECW champion. This is all about respect for me Jimmy. My pride is on the line. I will come at you with everything I have. 2 falls or 3 falls, it doesn't matter to me. I have to win and I have to win on my own. By myself. Win, lose or draw....I'll do it on my own.

Just wanted to set the record straight to all parties."

Davis Storm joining the Uprising? This was a post left by Davis Storm on the ECW message board recently. This is a monumental confession from the ECW champion. We thought that the path to Re-Awakening would have a few twists but this has turned the path into a maze.

Let’s look at what this means for all.

Firstly, The Uprising. If Davis is to join them surely it is a disadvantage for people to know in advance that he will become a member of their group. This takes away the element of surprise that is vital to a group like the Uprising, that rely on shock tactics. This may not be the disadvantage that we assume it is though. The mere fact that Davis may join The Uprising is surprising enough. The shock that would be felt by his admittance to the group would be huge enough on its own.

But let’s assume for a moment that Davis doesn’t intend on joining the Uprising. His post may have inadvertently helped their cause. The mistrust that Davis would now face from loyal ECW wrestlers is massive. He would no longer be considered a member of the ECW team. If nobody trust Storm, that may lead to him seeking acceptance from other sources. That mistrust may lead him to his former best friend Xeriyous Blade.

ECW. This post is a massive dent to ECW’s reputation. Many an ECW wrestler would have been thinking that securing Storm as a member of ECW would have been a priority especially after the events at Retribution. The wrestlers must be frustrated that while they are out fighting the Uprising, management doesn’t seem to be taking the fight up on their behalf. A word of advice from a lowly reporter….Get serious about this. Even if you can fend off The Uprising, do you want a roster full of disillusioned wrestlers.

For Jimmy Payne, this can only spell bad news. Davis’ words give us the impression that The Uprising have planned to make an impact on the main event at

Re-Awakening. Whether they do or not, that must weigh heavily on Jimmy’s mind. And that can only act as a distraction heading into the title match.

And finally, what purpose did this post serve Davis himself? Well, in the eyes of the fans Davis has cleared himself of any implication as an accomplice to the Uprising’s actions. He has also possibly given Jimmy a warning of impending danger. This further proves that Storm may have changed for the better. But his harsh words towards ECW certainly didn’t do him any favors in winning the trust or respect of his peers. He may truly be the one wrestler that nobody can trust right now.

Maybe respect has played a part in his actions towards Jimmy of late. Or maybe he is setting Payne up for the biggest fall of his career. As Davis said "Oh well....Only time will tell."
