saw the first ever EPW In House show for our Gold Members. These members only events will
be held several more times this year and are one of the privelages that EPW members
receive. This first show was a successful event with approximately 40 people present. Below is the results from the show. Crowd favourite Brad West was first up taking on Chris
Lazareth. The two put on a solid wrestling display with Brad showing his experience by out
wrestling his opponent. Despite Lazareth hitting what Lukey called a bulldogging
headlock Brad fought back and captured the win with a michinoku driver. Next up, Bobby Bad Blood battled Anda Nothica. This was an
interesting match up pitting guile and speed against size and aggression. Eventually,
Bobby slowed Nothica down and tied him to the mat by working over his smaller opponents
back. Nothica fired back with a flurry of offense culminating in a bulldog and Death From
Above (Swanton) for the win. The third match saw The Playboy Devlin Reeves
against Shane Haste. Devlin controlled the majority of this bout but ,as usual, he allowed
himself to be distracted from his job. After hitting a Sky High, he took time out to take
a toilet break instead of going for the pin. Just when all seemed lost for Haste, he
reversed the Devlin Descent into a school boy for the 1-2-3. Finally, the main event arrived. Jamie Jurah was pitted
against the EPW champion, Jimmy Payne, in a submissions only match. The two put on a top
class display of mat work Jimmy seemd to be focussing on Jamies back, where as Jurah
had zeroed in on Jimmys arm. Jurah continued to bend the rules while working over
the champs arm, which was weakened by Carnages chair shots at Evolution. But
the champ would not be denied. He reversed Jurahs top rope dropkick into a powerbomb
and applied the texas cloverleaf for the tap out victory. This capped of an entertaining evening and the next show should be a blast. Of course, the only way to attend is to buy an EPW gold membership. Click here for more info. |
