ECW Perth invades the Way of the Warriors 4
When Explosive Coastal Wrestling were offered the chance to demonstrate their talents to a different audience naturally they jumped at the chance. The offer came from Kevin Junior, promoter of the Way of the Warriors fight night and a mainstay in promoting these events for some fifteen years.

This all lead to ECW taking part in its first match at a non-wrestling event. The match was booked as a no-disqualification tornado tag match. It was announced just a few weeks ago that the match would feature the team of Damien Kross and F.N. Carnage taking on Davis Storm and the ECW Champion Jimmy Payne.

Dancin Lukey announced Slick Rick who accompanied Carnage and Kross to the ring and inevitably started to abuse the crowd in true Slick Rick style. He announced that as the ring was not a safe working environment for his charges, they would not be wrestling tonight.

However, there was no time for them to leave as Storm and Payne entered the ring with chairs in hand. Storm ran in first and tried to remove Carnage’s head with a brutal yakuza kick but his Eye of the Storm attempt was met with Kross’ Soul Splitter (diamond cutter).

The two on one beating continued until Jimmy took the battle to Carnage and evened up the odds. Carnage quickly hit a tornado DDT on the champion to assume control and he and Kross capitalised by nailing Davis with a backbreaker and second rope kneedrop combo.

While Jimmy and Carnage continued to brawl, Kross nailed Storm with a DDT. He and Carnage attempted stereo short arm clotheslines but were met with a reverse DDT and a ‘test drive’ neck breaker respectively.

A double team on Damien was broken up by a chair wielding Carnage, who nailed Payne in the back three times before Davis leaped off Jimmy’s back and kneed the chair into his face.

A crucifix by Storm only brought him a two count but he then took a chair to Carnage’s head in a vicious fashion before falling victim to a Krossfire choke bomb.

The match would have been over but Payne quickly broke up the pin and hit a dreamer driver on Damien for the 1-2-3.

This was a great chance for ECW to promote its product to a new audience and ECW Perth would like to extend its thanks to Kevin Junior for offering the opportunity for us to do so.
