| ECWPerth.com: Welcome
Vagrant, thanks for taking a bit of time out from whatever it is that you do, to have a
chat. Vagrant: Ha ha ha...
no problem...
ECWPerth.com: Well... firstly I have to
ask you how you are feeling just a couple of days out from Awakening. We saw you
AfSmashed, caned by Mikey Whiplash, involved in a brutal TLC match with Anda Nothica in
which you were swantoned through a table from the top of a ladder, took a legitimate 15
foot dive from the top of scaffolding and made it to the semi-finals only to be
powerbombed through yet another table! I am amazed you walked in here today!
Vagrant: Pretty crazy list! You know I am the People's Tramp... and I
went out there and gave the people what they wanted to see. Whether it be diving off
scaffolding or plunging through tables.. I wanted the people to go away thinking that
Vagrant gave them all he could... and I believe they did!
ECWPerth.com: Certainly, I don't think anyone can say that you didn't
give 110% at Awakening. Now we saw you make it to the final four, only going down to
eventual winner Jimmy Payne. We saw that match end when the referee ended it after you
were powerbombed through yet another table. Do you feel any resentment at the decisions?
Vagrant: Hmmm.. good question. I will say that I wanted to win... but it
came down to the referee having to stop the match fearing for my safety and health. I can
honestly say that I didn't really know what was happening at the time. I remember hitting
the table... not being able to breathe and seeing Paul's [Tsekos] shoe as he was helping
me to the back. Thinking about it now, whether I agreed or not, it was the right thing to
do.
ECWPerth.com: Well said... we saw a touching moment as you left the
arena, as you broke away from your assistants to shake hands with Jimmy Payne as the crowd
chanted 'Vagrant'... Forgive me for asking the blatantly obvious, but how was that?
Vagrant: Amazing.. and truly unforgettable! I feel I gave alot at
Awakening and I was very proud to walk out with the crowd really appreciating what they
had seen. Alot of people might not understand but having the fans chant your name and
thank you makes all of the pain and sacrifice well worth it. That moment at Awakening
defined why I am a wrestler.
ECWPerth.com: Was it your favourite moment of Awakening?
Vagrant: Oh definitely... one of my favourite moments ever! But having a
pretty hot chick ask me for my autograph and phone number after the show was pretty cool!
ECWPerth.com: Ha ha ha... any other memorable moments for you?
Vagrant: Awakening as a whole was truly incredible. Breaking it down... I
felt my heart strings pull when Carnie [F.N. Carnage] came through the curtain and hearing
the crowd roar! Um.. And I was thrilled to be a part of the final.. a truly amazing climax
to a truly amazing day!
ECWPerth.com: It surely was... well.. on behalf of everyone who watched
the event... thank you... for the tournament and the show Awakening.
Vagrant: Ha ha.. thanks, for being a part of it as well... and to
everyone who was there.. the entire lockeroom is grateful.. even [Davis] Storm.
ECWPerth.com: Ha ha ha.. I didn't like him much!
Vagrant: Nah, not alot of people did. I was pleased to see a fan
strategically pelting him with cool-mints throughout the day.
ECWPerth.com: Ha ha ha yeah! Thanks for your time.
Vagrant: Cheers |
